Let's play a game.
In Honolulu, Cops can drive whatever the shit they want to on the job as long as it doesn't have "a souped up engine," racing stripes and custom rims. Only if they choose to, and they get paid if they use their personal car.
If you were a cop in Honolulu, what would you use as your patrol car?
It doesn't say anything about age, so a 9c1 Caprice would be awesome. I'm pretty sure that the overwhelming majority of these have been long since retired. Even I get happy when I see an '03 Crown Vic still being used by State Troopers.
Then I'd have this also. I'd personally have to go with automatic. My apologies.

This times 100. Bonus points if I could wear my shorts on the job.

Officer S6 2.2 reporting for duty.

Good choice!
Honestly, automatic would be 100x better than manual for what the cars would be used for.

I love the Caprice, but I would only ever use the 1974 Dodge Monaco.

Anyone who doesn't say the SS is wrong.
Unless they substitute it with a CTS-V.
But, if you don't want drunks ruining your expensive leather and suede seats, a good old '05-'10 Charger R/T would do.

But with the later 662 HP engine.

Technically not a police car, but a "Gendarmerie" car, but the subtilities and differences between the Police and the Gendarmerie would be a whole article in itself :)
They do Police work basically :)

My best guess would be that they wouldn't be used to haul people around in, but who knows?
Use the trunk for that, haha.

Watching that movie is basically how I learned to drive. I practiced the "Chez Paul" restaurant parking maneuver in a parking lot until the cops came and threw me out! He laughed when I explained what I was trying to do! But I can actually pull it off...

I'm in love with this car. Plus if you could put a slight lift and rally bar and lights on the front.

Buick Lacrosse. If I'm driving all day I want a couch. It's an island, so they aren't going to get away to easily, it should be good enough to deal with the majority of cars on the road anyway.

Itll blend in(to the normies at least) and has room for perps and all the cool tactical shotguns, rifles and other various equipment cops get.

If it's my personal car I'd better get something cheap that I wouldn't mind losing.

It's fine to have a car that you wouldn't be concerned with loosing. But if it's your pocket that you'd be loosing it in......
